Safaa is a twin room on the first floor of the riad, with two single beds set against zellige-tiled walls in beige and blue. A deep blue tadelakt ceiling holds the room together, and a single stained-glass window above the seating bench throws coloured light onto the Berber rug whenever the sun catches it directly.
The carved wooden bed frames and the brass wall lamps belong to the original Moroccan craft of the house. A private external bathroom is part of the room. Safaa works for two travellers who want their own beds, a quiet first-floor location, and a few steps fewer to the rooftop where breakfast is served.
