Where exactly is Riad Tasneem?
In the medina of Marrakech, Rue Sidi Isshak, Derb Amisgui 8, right next to the Rahba Lakdima market and 500 metres from Jemaa el-Fnaa. GPS: 31.630018, -7.986207.
How far is the airport?
Nine kilometres from Marrakech-Menara airport, about 20 minutes by car.
What is the best way from the airport to the riad?
We arrange an airport transfer for 30 EUR for up to four people. Official petit taxis at the airport cost roughly 15 to 20 EUR. If you book direct with us for three nights or more, the transfer is free.
How far is Jemaa el-Fnaa?
500 metres, about five to seven minutes on foot through the medina lanes.
Is it safe to walk through the medina in the evening?
Yes, the medina of Marrakech is considered safe. Normal care with valuables is enough. If you prefer, we call a petit taxi to bring you to the riad.
Booking and payment
How can I book?
Directly through our website (no platform commission), by email to info@riadtasneem.com or via WhatsApp. You can also book on Booking.com or Airbnb, but platform fees apply there.
Is a deposit required?
Deposit terms are confirmed with your booking. Ask us by email or WhatsApp and we will send you the details for your dates.
How do I pay on site?
On site we accept cash only, in euros or Moroccan dirham (MAD).
What are the cancellation terms?
Cancellation terms are confirmed with your booking confirmation. Write to us and we will send the conditions for your dates before you commit.
Do I get anything extra for booking direct?
Booking direct means no platform commission. On top of that, stays of three nights or more include a free airport transfer and a welcome tea on the rooftop.
Rooms and sleeping
How many rooms does the riad have?
Eight rooms on two floors. Four on the ground floor around the patio: Laila, Jannat, Yasmin and Dahab. Four on the first floor: Sabah, Zahra, Safaa and Shahrazad.
Which rooms have a private ensuite bathroom?
Laila, Dahab, Sabah and Shahrazad have ensuite bathrooms. Jannat, Yasmin, Zahra and Safaa each have a private external bathroom.
Is there a family room?
Yes, two quad rooms: Jannat on the ground floor and Zahra on the first floor. Both work well for families or small groups.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Yes, every room has air conditioning, and heating for the winter months.
Is there Wi-Fi in the rooms?
Yes, throughout the house. The connection is good enough for streaming and video calls.
Breakfast and meals
Is breakfast included?
Yes, breakfast is included in the room rate. It is served on the rooftop terrace from 08:00 to 10:30. Vegetarian and vegan on request.
What is for breakfast?
Msemen (Moroccan pancakes), fresh bread, cake, jam, eggs, cheese, yoghurt, olives, mint tea and coffee.
Can I have lunch or dinner at the riad?
Yes, on request we prepare meals at any time of day from our own kitchen. We send the menu with prices on request.
House rules
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed in the riad.
Are children welcome?
Children from 2 years are welcome. We provide cots on request.
Can I smoke in the room?
No. Smoking is allowed on the rooftop terrace only.
When are check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 12:00 to 00:00 (midnight), check-out by 10:30.
Services
Is there a hammam in the riad?
We do not have our own hammam, but we work with the Hammam des Epices on the Rahba square, a few minutes on foot. We are happy to arrange your appointment; prices on request.
Do you organise tours?
We do not run our own tours or events. We are happy to share honest local recommendations; see our Marrakech guide for where to start.
Can I rent the whole riad for a group?
Yes. Riad Tasneem can be booked in its entirety for groups of up to 21 guests: family gatherings, retreats or small company offsites. Email info@riadtasneem.com with your dates and group size.
